PAGCOR has published a notice that entities on Facebook, X, Telegram and Viber use fake certificates to claim legitimacy, and another that names certificate-checker websites that are not PAGCOR’s own. It has also warned that sites copy its logo and show fabricated licence certificates.

Offshore gaming and the 2024 ban

Executive Order No. 74, signed on 5 November 2024, banned Philippine offshore gaming operators, internet gaming licensees and other offshore gaming operations. It ordered all of them to cease operations by 31 December 2024 or earlier, and it stopped new licences and renewals.
