888JILI Responsible Gaming: Limits, Warning Signs and Help
Responsible gaming on 888JILI means deciding your limits before the first spin, not after a bad run. Only players aged 21 and over may play, and gambling is paid entertainment, never a way to earn. This page gives you a routine to follow and says where to go if it stops working.
Who may play
You must be 21 or over. PAGCOR’s own responsible gaming page also lists who may not gamble at all: persons under 21, persons in the National Database of Restricted Persons, employees of licensees, and government officials, employees and uniformed personnel. That bar applies to online platforms as well as casinos.
Set your limits first
Before you open the lobby, write down two numbers and keep to them.
- A budget: an amount you can lose without touching rent, bills, food or loans.
- A time limit: how long this session lasts, set as an alarm on your phone.
For example, a budget of ₱500 and a limit of 45 minutes means you stop when either one is reached, even if you are ahead. Your phone can help enforce the time, and the page on your phone’s screen time settings shows how to set a limit.
PAGCOR’s reminders agree: gambling is not a source of income, set time limits for each session, never borrow money or use all your resources, and do not chase your losses.
Signs it is time to stop
Stop and take a break if you notice any of these.
- You spend or bet more than you meant to, or play longer than you planned.
- You keep trying to win back what you lost.
- You think about gambling constantly, or hide it from family.
- You borrow, miss bills or sell belongings to keep playing.
- You feel anxious, hopeless or low after playing.
Where help is
PAGCOR runs a National Problem Gambling Helpline, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, staffed by trained para-counselors and mental health professionals who give confidential help. The number is printed on PAGCOR’s pages, so read it on pagcor.ph and not from a third party.
PAGCOR also offers exclusion, which bars you from gaming platforms for a period you choose, and a family member can apply for it too. Self-exclusion is requested through PAGCOR’s online portal, listed on its responsible gaming page. Read how it works on PAGCOR’s exclusion program for players.
On the lobby
You control the deposit you make and the time you stay. Use the deposit screen only for the amount in your budget, and log out when your alarm rings. If you need help with your own account, the lobby’s customer service chat is the route.
